My First Post....
My first post as a busy mom......
I've blogged for my students since 2010, but this blog will be for me to share my crazy busy life, things I've learned along the way, and who knows what else.....
I've taught elementary for 20 years. I've been married for 21 years, and we have 4 children. Their ages range from 18 to 4. So while we are attending varsity sporting events for our 18 year old and marching band competitions for our 14 year old, we have been dragging around our baby. He has spent more time on the field, court, or ball diamond than most adults. He is going to be an AMAZING athlete for obvious reasons. That leaves our in between daughter who is 9. She is by far the smartest of the four and the most blonde....sorry to offend blondes.....I've always thought blondes have more fun so don't get so mad.
Summer means ball....I've attended 70 softball or baseball games since the season began in late May. I'm feeling a bit exhausted with all the running. Summer also means taking more classes to continue my life long love of learning new teaching strategies. I've done one class and will do one more in July. I earned my Master's degree in technology integration in 2012, and I continue to study that ever changing world. Summer also means catching up around the house. Many school evenings are busy with football, volleyball, basketball, and track so I shove things to the side during the school year. Now it's time to reorganize once again so the house is ready for the fall and another whole year of chaos. This year will be different.....our son will be a senior with graduation in May while we send the baby to preschool.
Well, I've enjoyed beginning this new way of expressing my thoughts......
